Blister Pack recycling Initiative

This initiative makes it easier for healthcare providers to help patients recycle responsibly by collecting empty blister packaging and contributing meaningfully to the U.K.’s circular economy.

In the UK., blister packaging are generally not accepted in household recycling because they combine plastic and aluminium foil making separation difficult through conventional system. As a result, most end up in landfill or incineration, wasting resources and contributing to avoidable emissions.
