Support during the Ukrainian conflict

In FY22 and FY23, the Cencora Impact Foundation contributed more than $850,000 in grants in response to the war against Ukraine, and we worked directly with 10 local non-profit partners on the ground and surrounding countries to distribute provisions.

Improving communities by partnering with small and diverse businesses

Through our supplier diversity program, we’ve supported more than 1,500 companies certified as small business enterprises, small businesses in underutilized areas, and companies where the ownership is mainly minorities, women, people with disabilities, veterans, or LGBTQ+. These businesses are the backbone of job creation and economy stimulation in underserved areas, and we’re eagerly growing our program to help as many communities as we can.

We're prioritizing protecting the environment

Making a big impact on human and animal health requires an even bigger commitment to environmentally sustainable operations. The health of our planet is equally important, so we continually implement best practices across all areas of our business in energy efficiency, greenhouse gas emissions management, waste management, and responsible packaging to ensure the only mark we leave behind is positive change.

Greenhouse gas emissions reduction

Cencora is committed to a science-based target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 54.6% by FY32 and engage our suppliers. Cencora completed 11 lighting retrofit projects in FY22 at our facilities and began a global renewable energy assessment to evaluate options to expand our renewable energy portfolio.

Waste management, recycling, and sustainable packaging

Cencora advanced its Getting Drastic with Plastic campaign, removing more than 230 metric tons of single-use plastic secondary packaging, since starting the campaign in 2019. Cencora also diverted 52,000 pounds of plastic stock bottles through American Health Packaging's recycling initiative.
