Care broker services
Your pharmacy. Our knowledge and negotiating power.
The legal council and framework of the Alphega Pharmacy care broker team are set up and managed by Van Iersel Luchtman Advocaten and serve as the intermediary between the Alphega pharmacy collective and healthcare insurers. Acting as per mandate from independent Alphega pharmacies, the care broker negotiates with the healthcare insurers, helping to achieve higher compliance rates, increased compensation, and a stronger position overall — delivering results the benefit all parties involved. Ultimately the pharmacist decides whether or not an agreement with the healthcare insurers will be entered into.
In addition to negotiation support, the care broker provides guidance on contract execution and additional agreements with health insurers. This includes not only legal advice but also support in healthcare-related content and economic matters. With the Alphega pharmacy care broker, independent pharmacists gain a strong negotiating position and access to relevant expertise, helping to ensure they are equipped with the knowledge and support they need.
For and with our members
The care broker works closely with a health insurers' focus group, which includes Alphega pharmacists, to stay connected to real-world pharmacy practices and align negotiation efforts with their needs. By meeting several times a year to discuss industry developments, the group translates these insights into agreements that best serve Alphega pharmacies in negotiations with health insurers.
