Third-party logistics (3PL) storage
Our large 3PL warehouse is 4,000m2 and is used to store and handle goods for international pharmaceutical manufacturers. It offers space for 3,650 pallets and shelves to protect products at 15-25° C, along with shelving for products that require 2-8° C. Our warehouse offers storage capabilities for 435 controlled drug pallet spaces and follows Good Distribution Practices (GDP), including batch certificate control, quality assurance (QA) release, and clinical trials storage and management.

Corporate responsibility and sustainability
Alliance Healthcare Norge, now part of Cencora, monitors all travel and transportation within the company with a focus on reducing CO₂ emissions. We encourage increased use of video conferencing and other forms of telecommunication to reduce the need for travel and our carbon footprint. Together with our subcontractors of transportation and logistics services, we work to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Alliance Healthcare Norge supports the Norwegian authorities' ambitions to reduce the consumption of plastics and to facilitate the handling and recycling of plastics responsibly. In line with the EU targets for recycling of plastic packaging, 50% of all plastic used will be recyclable by 2025, with 55% by 2030.
In 2019, Alliance Healthcare Norge signed the Plastløftet (Plastic Pledge) as the country's first pharmaceutical wholesaler. The Plastic Pledge is an initiative from Grønt Punkt (green dot), where we commit to working to reduce the use of plastic packaging, increase the use of recycled plastic and innovate to reduce plastic use. Alliance Healthcare Norge is a certified Eco-Lighthouse and a member of Grønt Punkt and reports annually on measures and results to Grønt Punkt Norge.
All Boots pharmacies in Norway accept and support the proper disposal of medicines, batteries and electrical appliances sold by the pharmacy. All pharmacies have a responsibility to accept returns of expired or leftover pharmaceuticals for safe destruction. Pharmaceuticals pose a significant risk to the environment and we are doing our part to prevent it from ending up in the environment.
Alliance Healthcare Norge is committed to ethical business practices and transparency. In line with the Norwegian Transparency Act, we are committed to creating an environment of decent working conditions across our operations and supply chains.
We conduct regular due diligence, maintain clear policies, and publish a yearly digital report outlining the steps we’ve taken to uphold our responsibilities, including risk assessments and actions taken in the previous year. We also respond to public inquiries and collaborate with suppliers to drive continuous improvement. Our goal is to be a responsible and trustworthy healthcare provider—for our customers, partners, and the global community.
