
Richard Tremonte
EVP and President, U.S. Pharmaceuticals and Animal Health
Rich Tremonte is Executive Vice President and President of U.S. Pharmaceuticals and Animal Health for Cencora, Inc. (formerly AmerisourceBergen). As a member of the enterprise leadership team, Rich is focused on driving innovative solutions, improving efficiency within our U.S. businesses, and building enduring relationships with our customers.
With over 24 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, Rich leads a comprehensive portfolio that includes health systems, government entities, national and regional chain pharmacies, independent retail and long-term care pharmacies, specialty physician practices, and animal health providers. His leadership extends to Cencora’s corporate partnerships team, U.S. supply chain operations, and global animal health business, where he drives innovative solutions and collaboration to grow our partnerships with our customers.
Prior to his current role, Rich held various leadership positions within Cencora since joining in 2013, including oversight of generic pharmaceuticals, strategic global sourcing, community and specialty pharmacy, customer operations, and animal health. His career also includes leadership roles at Sandoz, Inc. (Novartis) and Teva Pharmaceuticals where he managed various sales, marketing, operations, and supply chain functions.
Rich is deeply engaged in industry and community leadership, serving on the board of directors for Healthcare Distribution Alliance (HDA) and on their executive committee. He serves as Chair of the nominating and board development committee for the Greater Delaware Valley Chapter of Breakthrough T1D and as a board member of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, an organization focused on finding a cure for pediatric cancer. Within Cencora, Rich demonstrates his commitment to corporate responsibility through his service on the Cencora Impact Foundation board and the Cencora Corporate Responsibility Council.
Rich holds a bachelor’s degree in business logistics and supply chain from Pennsylvania State University, an MBA from Temple University, and a post-MBA certificate in basic pharmaceutical development from the Temple School of Pharmacy. Rich is also a graduate of Wharton’s Advanced Management Program (AMP) at the University of Pennsylvania.
